Job summary
Position Summary The Taproom and Store Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and operation of our New Glasgow location, overseeing the team, the retail and taproom space, and the administrative functions that keep the store running smoothly. This role combines people leadership, operational ownership, and hands-on customer service. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership Train, supervise, and provide ongoing coaching to the team Give regular feedback and lead by example Foster a positive, supportive work atmosphere for staff Scheduling and Coverage Build team schedules that reasonably accommodate vacation requests and booked time off but cover the business needs Own store coverage, including arranging replacement staff when someone is sick or away Administration and Inventory Logistics Reconcile daily sales and invoicing Manage inventory, including communicating inventory needs to the retail coordinator Handle cash deposits and cash flow management Complete inventory counts and checks Perform a variety of other administrative tasks as required Customer Experience and Compliance Deliver an exceptional guest experience in the store and taproom Ensure all sales and service comply with NSLC and provincial liquor laws, including responsible service and ID-checking standards Taproom Programming Help plan and schedule entertainment for the taproom space, such as live music and events, to keep the space engaging for guests Collaborate with the other businesses in the building on shared programming and initiatives
