HANK. STORE MANAGER Premium Multi-Brand Menswear Retail Location: Upper Canada Mall, Newmarket | Reports To: Director of Retail / Head of Stores About HANK. HANK. is a new premium menswear destination built around a simple idea: helping men look good, feel comfortable and leave feeling confident in what they’re wearing. We offer an edited assortment of great brands and elevated essentials for work, weekends, travel and everything in between. Our approach is simple: great clothes, genuine service and a store that feels welcoming, confident and easy to shop. We’re looking for a Store Manager who can bring that HANK. experience to life — someone who knows the business, loves the floor and understands that great retail is about both the numbers and the people. The Role The Store Manager owns the performance of the store — sales, team, client experience and day-to-day operations. You’ll lead from the floor, build a strong local client base and create a team culture that is accountable, knowledgeable and genuinely service-driven. HANK. is a growing business, so we’re looking for someone comfortable being hands-on, making decisions and taking ownership. What You’ll Do Drive the Business · Own store sales, KPIs, profitability and payroll productivity. · Lead performance against daily, weekly, monthly and annual plans. · Understand the numbers — including traffic, conversion, UPT, AUR, category performance and margin. · Lead from the selling floor and drive full-price selling, wardrobe building and cross-category opportunities. · Build local relationships, client appointments, events and other business-driving opportunities. Create the HANK. Experience · Build a personalized service culture based on product knowledge, trust and genuine connection. · Help clients find clothes that work for them and leave feeling comfortable and confident in what they’re wearing. · Develop a strong client book and ensure consistent use of CRM and clienteling tools. · Support wardrobe, fit, tailoring and occasion-based needs with confidence. · Maintain HANK. visual and merchandising standards and a seamless omni-channel experience. · Resolve client concerns quickly, professionally and with good judgement. Lead the Team · Recruit, onboard, coach and develop a high-performing store team. · Set clear goals and expectations and hold the team accountable for results. · Coach selling, styling, product knowledge, service and KPI performance. · Build an engaged culture based on teamwork, recognition and ownership. · Manage scheduling and staffing to support both the client experience and productivity. Run a Great Store · Maintain inventory accuracy, shrink control and efficient stock flow. · Oversee receiving, replenishment, transfers and stockroom standards. · Ensure compliance with health & safety, cash handling and opening/closing procedures. · Partner with the merchandising team on product opportunities and inventory needs. · Execute promotions, events, store initiatives and tailoring processes. · Maintain the store to HANK.’s premium standards. What You Bring · 5–8+ years of retail leadership experience in premium apparel, luxury or specialty menswear. · Proven success leading a high-volume and/or high-AUR business. · Strong clienteling and CRM experience. · Strong commercial and analytical skills. · Demonstrated success recruiting, coaching and developing teams. · Understanding of tailoring, fit and wardrobe building preferred. · A passion for menswear, product and great service. · A hands-on, accountable and entrepreneurial leadership style. How We Measure Success Sales and profitability, conversion, UPT and AUR, margin and markdown control, client development and retention, payroll productivity, inventory accuracy and shrink, team performance and retention, client satisfaction, and local business development. Why HANK. This is an opportunity to help build a new Canadian premium menswear business. You’ll be part of the founding retail team, with the opportunity to influence how HANK. serves its clients, develops its people and grows. We offer competitive compensation, performance-based incentives and growth opportunities within an expanding retail organization.
