We are currently looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will embody our values with PRIDE (Passion to serve, Respect, Impact, Doing the right thing, Enterprising) while partnering with store manager to assist with store operations, meeting and exceeding sales goals, and developing a strong team. To be successful, this dynamic team player must be a strong communicator with a passion for delivering helpful, positive service not only to our customers but to the communities we serve. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will: Develop sales through: 1. Timely execution of freight on to the sales floor 2. Execution and maintenance of zone-a-grams, ISM and seasonal counters 3. Compliance with our store merchandising concepts 4. Safely storing overstock and reviewing it on a regular basis 5. Communication with the Store Manager regarding out of stock positions Develop people through: 1. Understanding, practicing and enforcing company policies and standard operating procedures 2. Fostering team spirit 3. Performance management 4. Assisting in effective staff scheduling 5. Assisting with new hire onboarding and training 6. Positive, effective and respectful communication with all team members Deliver quality customer service by: 1. Executing customer service initiatives 2. Embodying our values with PRIDE 3. Ensuring Fields’ customer service standards are maintained 4. Supporting community events Support operational controls by: 1. Ensuring health & safety compliance to company policies and government regulations 2. Ensuring compliance with company standards creating a clean, easy to shop, customer friendly store 3. Enforcing standard operating procedures and policies to achieve company objectives 4. Executing opening and closing procedures 5. Understanding store profitability, sales, expenses and markdowns 6. Effectively managing your time and the time of Associates to maximize productivity 7. Delegating tasks and responsibilities 8. Assisting with loss prevention You will accomplish this by: 1. Conducting yourself in a mature, professional, friendly manner at all times 2. Emphasizing open, honest and positive communication 3. Planning, organizing and multi-tasking at a quick pace while ensuring accuracy 4. Protecting company assets, monies and confidential documentation 5. Understanding store profitability, sales, turnover, expenses, markdowns and budgeting 6. Familiarizing yourself and your team with local competition, community events, customer’s income sources, new and growing needs for your business and your customer. Who You Are: 1. You have exposure to commercial or retail industry. 2. You possess strong customer service and leadership skills. 3. You have ability to communicate professionally – verbal and written. 4. You are self motivated, show initiative, proactive and can work with minimal supervision 5. You are detail oriented and possess strong follow through skills. What you’ll do

Partner with the Store Manager to oversee daily operations, drive sales through effective merchandising, and manage team performance. Ensure high standards of customer service and operational compliance while supporting community engagement.

Requirements

Candidates should have experience in the commercial or retail industry with strong leadership and professional communication skills. Must be a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual capable of working with minimal supervision.
