Job summary
Flipafone is looking for a reliable, skilled, and customer-focused Mobile Phone Technician & Sales Associate to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience repairing smartphones and tablets, strong technical troubleshooting skills, and a passion for providing excellent customer service. This role combines mobile device repairs, sales, trade-ins, receiving and dispatching shipments, inventory management, and device processing for resale or responsible recycling. What You’ll Do Mobile Device Repairs & Diagnostics - Diagnose and repair smartphones and tablets, including screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras, speakers, and other components. - Perform back-glass repairs using laser equipment safely and accurately. - Troubleshoot software issues across iOS and Android devices. - Test and inspect devices before and after repairs to ensure quality. - Complete accurate repair records and documentation. - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Sales & Customer Service - Assist customers with purchasing new and pre-owned mobile devices. - Evaluate devices for trade-in and buyback. - Explain device condition, pricing, repair options, and timelines clearly. - Recommend accessories and products based on customer needs. - Deliver a professional, friendly, and trustworthy customer experience. Receiving, Shipping & Dispatch - Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities, products, and device condition. - Unpack, inspect, label, and organize incoming devices. - Prepare and securely package devices for outgoing shipments. - Dispatch customer orders, trade-in devices, repairs, and recycling shipments accurately and on time. - Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records. - Track device serial numbers, IMEI numbers, and other required information. - Assist with inventory counts and resolve discrepancies. Device Processing & Inventory - Test and grade pre-owned devices according to Flipafone standards. - Prepare devices for resale, refurbishment, trade-in, or responsible recycling. - Follow company procedures for secure handling and data wiping. - Maintain accurate inventory and device records. What We’re Looking For - 1–2 years of mobile phone repair experience preferred. - Strong understanding of smartphone and tablet hardware and software. - Experience with screen, battery, charging-port, camera, and back-glass repairs. - Experience with laser back-glass repair equipment is an asset. - Comfortable working with iOS, Android, and computer systems. - Retail, wireless, electronics, or technology sales experience is an asset. - Shipping, receiving, inventory, or warehouse experience is an asset. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Excellent communication and customer-service skills. - Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
