Job details

Build relationships. Grow accounts. Help drive the next stage of our growth. K2 Corrosion Fasteners is one of Canada's leading distributors of corrosion-resistant fasteners, serving customers from seven locations across the country. We're growing, investing, and expanding our footprint, including the recent addition of 33,000 square feet of modern warehouse capacity to better serve customers nationwide. We're looking for an Inside Sales Associate to join our Halifax, Nova Scotia branch — someone who creates value for customers, builds relationships, and isn't afraid to go find the next opportunity rather than wait for it to come in. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, uncovering opportunities, solving customer challenges, and growing business. You'll work closely with contractors, distributors, manufacturers, and industrial customers, becoming a trusted partner who helps them get what they need while identifying opportunities to expand the relationship. If you're energized by connecting with customers, generating new business, and turning conversations into long-term relationships, we'd like to hear from you. What You'll Do Build strong relationships with customers and become their go-to resource Manage a pipeline of prospects and customers, following up on quotations and opportunities to convert business and grow revenue Process orders accurately and develop competitive quotes that create value for customers while supporting profitability — with support from senior reps or your manager as needed Expedite urgent orders and troubleshoot issues when things don't go to plan Partner with customers to understand their business and recommend solutions that support their goals Proactively reach out to prospective and existing customers to identify new projects, upcoming opportunities, and additional product needs Utilize internal sales data and monitor market activity, competitive information, and industry trends to determine growth opportunities Collaborate with branch and sales teams to achieve growth objectives Deliver an exceptional customer experience from initial inquiry through order fulfillment What We're Looking For A relationship-builder with a proactive mindset — comfortable picking up the phone or making the first move to generate new business, not just manage what comes in Strong experience in inside sales, account management, customer service, or business development The right team fit — someone coachable who brings energy to a close-knit branch Fastener industry experience is valuable, but we know it's hard to find — we're just as excited to talk to candidates from adjacent industries with a similar customer base, including bearings, industrial supply, safety supply, suppliers to mechanical/electrical contractors, construction supply, boat building/marine repair, food processing, or anyone selling into customers who need non-corrosive materials Strong communication and problem-solving skills Organized, with the ability to manage a growing volume of accounts and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning new systems Why K2? At K2, we're building something exciting. We combine the stability of an established national distributor with the energy and opportunity of a growing business. You'll join a team where: Your ideas and initiative matter You can make a visible impact on branch performance Success is recognized and rewarded Long-term career growth is encouraged You'll work alongside people who genuinely support one another Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with skills and experience: $55,000 – $65,000 Gross profit bonus program RRSP matching Extended health and dental benefits Ongoing career development opportunities If you're looking for a role where you can build relationships, grow business, and be part of a company with ambitious plans for the future, we'd love to meet you. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted. K2 is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. We welcome all applications and will provide accommodations throughout the recruitment process upon request.
