We are currently looking for a dynamic candidate to fill the position of Assistant  Manager at our EGLINTON location in Toronto.  This position is on a permanent full-time basis. Schedules are variable according to operational needs, you must be available day, evening and weekend.  As such, you be responsible for supporting the Manager in all aspects of management either sales, human resources and operations.

 

As Assistant Manager, you will handle a variety of responsibilities, such as:

  • Assist in the planning, organization and control of all store operations;
  • Apply the company’s business strategies to achieve sales and profitability store objectives;
  • Coach and support employees in accordance with norms and standards of customer service and merchandising in order to provide an exceptional shopping experience;
  • Communicate sales, promotions and objectives to all employees;
  • Create a positive work environment; encourage employee engagement and mobilization;
  • Participate in the hiring and training of new employees;
  • Participate in the evaluation of employee performance and development;
  • Work schedules and respect salary budgets;
  • Communicate effectively the information intended for both customers and employees;
  • Perform and supervise the management of in-store inventories;
  • Work on schedules and salary budgets;
  • Perform store openings and closings;
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards:
  • All other related tasks.

 

The qualifications required for the role of Assistant Manager:

  • 2 years’ experience in staff management;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Leadership;
  • Dynamic personality;
  • Customer orientation;
  • Knowledge of artistic material would be an asset;
  • Bilingual (asset).
