Position: Restaurant Manager

9339396 Canada Inc. O/A Panago Pizza is currently hiring for a continuous, full time(32.5-37.5Hours/week) and permanent position of Restaurant Manager(NOC-0631) for its pizza store located at 133 Bremner Blvd, Toronto, ON M5J 3A7. The successful applicant must be a leader, team player, highly motivated, organized multi-tasker and be able to manage a wide variety of duties. In addition, the ability of decision making, process improvements and management proficiency is expected from the successful candidate.

We are seeking a friendly, positive and flexible individual, with excellent customer service skills, organizational skills and a professional attitude who is proactive and self-motivated and will maintain confidentiality. As a member of the management team, the Restaurant Manager is required to run the daily operations of the restaurant and providing leadership to the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, plan, control and organize the operations of the store
  • Meet the restaurant financial and strategic objectives, establish and monitor financial control, initiate corrective actions, and establish community relationships
  • Budgetary responsible of up to $1million
  • Increase the customer base through marketing strategies, community programs and by tracking changing demands of the customers
  • Control and maintain the optimum inventory level for the smooth running of business
  • Recruit and make schedule for the employees and forecast future labor requirements
  • Order the food supplies with suppliers and negotiate the best price
  • Provide necessary training to the employees including halal procedures training and monitor their performances
  • Implement health and safety procedures in the store
  • Resolve customer complaints and negotiate arrangements with clients for catering
  • Monitor food preparation methods and check the quality of the food items being prepared
  • Control labour and food cost according to the standards of head office
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Previous experience(1-2years) as a Restaurant Manager with a proven ability to lead
  • Postsecondary education in Business Management or Hospitality
  • Ability to supervise and manage a team of around 5-10 employees
  • Must have a reliable transportation as some night and weekend shifts may be required
  • Strong customer service skills, marketing skills, communication (written and verbal English) and interpersonal skills and should be a team player
  • Excellent knowledge about pizzas recipe, different types of slapping procedures, dough preparation and conveyor belt oven is expected
  • Knowledge about CTS and CTS+ along with basic IT knowledge
  • Knowledge about food cost control (TFC and actual cost) and how to trouble shoot the deviations
  • Knowledge about operations of call center is required as orders comes from call center instead of in house calls
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Including V-Lookup and Macro)
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and business banking an asset
  • Food handler and Certified Manager certification an asset

Note : Must be willing to work various shifts including evenings and weekends

Wages:

$22.50 -$25 per hour

Location of Work: Toronto
