AN OVERVIEW OF THE CHALLENGES AHEAD:

  • Manage a team of Supply Chain Specialists for the new product introduction (NPI);
  • Actively support Bid and Proposal process to establish product costs baselines during Customer RFQ cycle;
  • Create and maintain a status overview/control tool of all NPI projects in terms of timeline and cost;
  • Provide regular updates to the NPI Project Manager on assigned projects and on cost estimates (tools and components);
  • Drive process improvements to enhance purchasing efficiency, cost, and compliance;
  • Proactively reduce project cost and identify risks (both for development and after production release);
  • Analyze and communicate initial cost estimates for assigned projects (tooling and components);
  • Build and maintain supplier relationship, improve costs and quality and reduce risks;
  • Ensure suppliers provide best pricing and delivery schedules;
  • Complete NPI risk assessment for suppliers, new technology, sole-sourced parts, EOL (end of life) components, and others;
  • Identify and update Cost of Goods estimates, report on costs of developmental builds versus the targeted budget;
  • If new suppliers are needed, align with Engineering, Commodity Management and other stakeholders to locate quality suppliers who are capable of meeting project lead time and budget requirements;
  • Complete all necessary hand over activities required for production release;
  • Be well informed at all times of the fair market value and of the raw material availability;
  • Support a flexible work schedule in order to coordinate meetings and conference calls with global partners;
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects;
  • Travel on occasions.

YOU WILL IMPRESS US IF YOU HAVE:

  • Studies: College or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Administration, Engineering or Operations Management;
  • Experience: Ideally more than 5 years in supply chain and in the electronics industry;
  • Knowledge: Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills, MRP/ERP; thorough knowledge of procurement, sourcing and supplier management;
  • Asset: Knowledge of SAP;
  • Profile: Strong ability to manage and work in a team, able to function under minimum supervision, reacts well to pressure, capable of managing multiple priorities in parallel, flexible and excellent communicator, leader; strong organizational skills, attention to details and problem solving skills; ability to work and interact with different departments throughout the organization;
  • Languages: French and English (verbal and written).
