ECOMMERCE WEBSITE DEVELOPER

The eCommerce Developer is accountable and responsible for making sure the eCommerce websites are fully operational while ensuring sustainability and growth. The Ecommerce Developer will play a crucial role in the online sales of one of its operation by working with the various ecommerce platforms currently in use.  This role requires a diligent, analytically minded and results driven individual who will be responsible for driving online sales by working closely with the Marketing department, ensuring SEO compliance, and updating website content.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and update websites content (products, content, promotions).
  • Administration of Magent, Wordpress and BigCommerce Web platforms and connected software.
  • Liaise with internal resources regarding the day to day management of the websites.
  • Plan, define and implement website changes and functional improvements.
  • Ensure systems are working as designed and that data is accurately synced.
  • Manage website configuration and parameters.
  • Insure site sustainability and performance for upgrade potential.
  • Regulate and manage access rights of different users on the website.
  • Modify appearance and setting of the site in conjunction with marketing and brand guidelines.
  • Test and deploy functional projects / improvements.
  • Perform all other related tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • Degree in information technology.
  • 2+ years' experience in the technology field – web development, eCommerce, system administration.
  • Bilingual (French / English) spoken and written.
  • Excellent understanding of eCommerce technologies.
  • Previous experience of website platforms such as BigCommerce, Magento and WordPress is essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of all relevant coding languages.
  • Understanding of order management/customer fulfilment in an e-commerce context.
  • Knowledge and experience of ERP system (SAP-B1) is a considerable asset.
  • Project management experience, ability to document body of work.
  • Proactive individual who is also a strategical thinker.
  • Highly organized individual who can multi-task.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
