About the role

We are looking for a Account Manager to join our Wholesale team!

As a member of the Wholesale team, the Account Manager will be the instrumental in the growth of the wholesale business in Canada and the United States. Their primary purpose is to facilitate the planning and delivery of business optimization initiatives. They will understand the problems and opportunities in the context of the business requirements and design, while executing solutions that enable the department to achieve its goals.

Responsibilities

  • Support DAVIDsTEA wholesale business with a focus on growing key Canadian and American accounts by supporting sales, logistics and respective administrative tasks.
  • Manage incoming inquiries, documentation, and requests from grocery / pharmacy clients in both Canada and United States while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and growth.
  • Research prospective clients while actively providing recommendations and ideas to grow sales channels.
  • Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of each customer. Regularly assess and analyze performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize sales outcomes.
  • Work on customer presentations and sales pitches for their key respective accounts as well as manage quotations, P&L and follow-ups.
  • Plan and forecast sales at the item and customer level in ERP and planning systems.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and planning: to align strategies and ensure seamless integration of wholesale channels with the overall business objectives.
  • Execute competitive analyses, post mortems, and update/create new reports to help manage and grow the business.
  • Gather key information for projects and work alongside the Senior Director Merchandising

Requirements

  • 6 to 8 years of experience in a similar role preferably in the US market
  • Skilled, highly adaptable problem-solver and an organized multitasker
  • Exceptional communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Forward-thinker that is able to go above and beyond to increase the level of customer satisfaction
  • Fast-learner, capable of taking on an increasing scope of responsibilities
  • Ability to innovate change through visionary thinking;
  • Passion and tenacity for solving problems through creativity, collaboration and resourcefulness;
  • Project management/implementation experience
  • Computer savvy with a strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Positive and enthusiastic goal driven team-player
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
