Supervise staff (apprentices, stages hands, design team, etc.) Assign sales workers to duties Hire and train or arrange for training of staff Authorize payments by cheque Order merchandise Authorize return of merchandise Establish work schedules Sell merchandise Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages Organize and maintain inventory Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers Manage cash Oversee payroll administration Conduct performance reviews Supervise office and volunteer staff Requirements Must have a Bachelor’s degree in any field. Must have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, supervising at least 1–2 people, with experience in a retail store. Must be willing to work onsite in a rural area. Must be willing to provide a Criminal Record Check. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, demonstrate attention to detail, perform a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and stand for extended periods. Must be accurate, client-focused, have efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, be organized, reliable, a team player, dependable, have excellent written communication, demonstrate initiative and judgement, and have the ability to multitask.
