Job Description Job Summary The General Helper supports daily operations within retail food service outlets by assisting with food preparation, stocking, cleaning, customer service, and maintaining food safety standards. This role helps ensure smooth operations across multiple retail brands while delivering excellent guest service in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with basic food preparation and assembly Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner Refill beverages, condiments, grab-and-go items, and supplies Maintain cleanliness of counters, dining areas, kitchen, and equipment Follow FIFO, portion control, and food safety procedures Support cash handling and POS operations when required Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries Monitor product freshness and report low inventory items Support opening and closing duties of the unit Follow company policies, health & safety, and sanitation standards Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors Working Conditions Fast-paced retail food environment Standing for extended periods Exposure to hot equipment, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen environments May work across multiple branded outlets such as coffee shops, grab-and-go stations, or quick service restaurants Qualifications Previous food service or retail experience is an asset Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs Team-oriented with a positive attitude Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Basic Food Safety Certification and Allergen Awareness Certification are required, or candidates must be willing to obtain them upon hiring Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays if required Additional Information WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
