JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an Express Delivery Driver to join our team. This role is responsible to delivery grocery orders while adhering to assigned routes and time schedule, as well as loading, unloading, and preparing delivery routes for the day – rain or shine!

Ultimately, this role focuses on making grocery deliveries promptly to our customers, represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our profitability and customer satisfaction.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Load, transport, and deliver grocery orders to clients or businesses, thorough the lower mainland, and up to Squamish
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied
• Follow routes and time schedule
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
• Inform customers about new products and services
• Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries
• Help customers make the best possible purchases by providing advice, guidance, and excellent customer service
• Engage with customers and ensure any special instructions are followed.
• Ensure that orders are accurately selected, scanned, and packed
• Collaborate with store departments to ensure efficient service delivery
• Respond promptly and effectively to customers' complaints and requests
• Performs other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Hold a valid driver’s license, with a clean drivers’ abstract
• Proven customer service or retail experience is a plus
• Great attention to detail
• Good communication and people skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time
• Push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts with or without reasonable accommodation
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds at times
