Overview Position Summary The Service Cashier / Receptionist is the first point of contact for customers visiting the dealership’s service department. This role is responsible for providing a welcoming environment, managing service-related payments, and supporting smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate delivers exceptional customer service while handling administrative tasks with accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism. Responsibilities and Qualifications Key Responsibilities Greet all service customers in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival or by phone. Process customer payments for service repairs, warranty deductibles, parts purchases, and accessory sales. Balance the cash drawer daily and ensure all payment transactions are recorded accurately. Answer incoming calls, direct inquiries, and schedule service appointments when required. Provide customers with invoices, warranty documentation, and explanations of charges as needed. Communicate with service advisors and technicians to ensure timely customer updates. Assist with administrative duties such as filing, printing repair orders, scanning documents, and data entry. Maintain a clean and organized customer service counter and waiting area. Support dealership events, customer satisfaction efforts, and OEM-standard customer experience initiatives. Ensure strict confidentiality of customer and vehicle information in accordance with dealership and OEM policies. All other duties as assigned by leadership. Qualifications Previous experience in customer service, cashiering, or administrative support preferred. Strong communication skills with a professional, customer-focused attitude. Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly. Comfortable using dealership management systems (DMS) and payment processing software; experience with CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or Xtime is an asset. Solid organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy service environment. Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a positive demeanor during high traffic periods. High school diploma or equivalent required. INDCNP Posted Salary Range CAD $19.00 - CAD $24.00 /Hr.
