Dilawri Group in Ontario is now actively searching for an Assistant Parts Manager to join the team at Thorncrest Ford.
Pay Rate: $42,000-$60,000
Responsibilities:
- Generate gross profit in the parts department through the sales of parts and accessories.
- Provide day-to-day support and coaching for parts staff.
- Assist in managing departmental expenses so a net profit is earned monthly.
- Assist in creating/maintaining dealership displays for accessories etc.
- Maintain a consumer relations policy regarding wholesale customer follow-up, material return, complaint handling, etc.
- Maintain programs designed to train, develop and motivate department employees.
- Maintain clear standards for customer handling.
- Maintain purchasing policies including purchase orders, inventory guide figures, order code status, etc.
- Maintain core handling, manufacturer returns, and damage claim procedures including storage, documentation, material returns, designated personnel, etc.
- Maintain an inventory storage system to include bin locations, bin numbering, in tags, etc.
- Maintain dealership equipment in effective working condition. Establish equipment maintenance schedules where necessary.
- Advise management on the equipment needed for the department.
- Maintain the shipping/receiving policy with wholesale routes, delivery timetables, check-ins and inspection, etc.
- Maintain a relationship with the factory that results in a sound working arrangement.
- Initiate housekeeping, safety, and security procedures that result in a safe and attractive working environment.
- Maintain catalogs, price schedules, and other technical bulletins that are convenient to employees needing them.
- Establish and maintain good working relations with other departments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum three (3) years relevant parts experience in a Dealership environment with brand preferred
- Three (3) years experience as a Parts Advisor or inventory clerk, preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and their applications.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Inventory management and product knowledge
- Experience using CDK.
- Communication with the team and OEM.
