Oddfellows Barbershop ? Barber Position

Oddfellows Barbershop is seeking to hire a permanent, full?time barber for our location at 6451 Quinpool Rd, Halifax.

Oddfellows is an independently operated barbershop serving the Halifax market for 10 years. Our shop has received numerous ?Best of Halifax? awards and has trained and fostered the growth of several barbers who have become leaders of the local barbering industry. Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years active barbering experience
• Proficiency in long and short hairstyles, shaving, and beard trimming
• Exceptional customer service skills
• In-depth industry knowledge and trend awareness
• A proficiency in English

Responsibilities:

• Provide barbering services to clientele
• Perform administrative duties of answering the phone, creating and managing bookings, and greeting customers
• Maintain shop cleanliness by sweeping floors, cleaning surfaces, sanitizing work stations, and managing garbage.
• Aid in training and development of other barbers and barber apprentices
• Develop strong relationships with customers by providing a memorable experience

Position Details:

• This position is paid hourly. Starting wage ranges from $20-27/hour depending on level of experience and clientele.
• Hours of work are flexible, but a full-time 40-hour work week is required.
• Vacation pay is 4%. Vacation time is 3 weeks per year.

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
