Manpower is currently hiring on behalf of a leading Canadian retail client for the role of Store Manager.
We are looking for a hands-on, results-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and lead from the front. This role requires someone who can take full ownership of store operations, support the team on the floor, and ensure consistent execution of daily tasks.
Our client is a well-established national retail organization with a strong presence across Canada, known for operating busy, high-traffic stores while delivering excellent customer service and strong operational performance.
Position Summary The Store Manager is responsible for the end-to-end operation of the store, ensuring seamless daily execution across all functions including staffing, merchandising, inventory, and customer experience.
This role demands a leader who can effectively manage competing priorities, adapt quickly to changing demands, and maintain high standards in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities Lead overall store operations and team performance in a high-volume setting Actively work on the floor, supporting day-to-day execution and leading by example Manage scheduling, staffing, and workforce planning to meet business demands Oversee inventory management, stock control, and merchandising standards Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines Drive customer service excellence and achieve store performance targets Quickly address operational challenges and adapt to changing priorities Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing team
Preferred Qualifications Minimum 2 years of retail experience At least 2 year in a supervisory or management role Proven ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to own and operate a store independently Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills Flexible availability (days, evenings, weekends)
Compensation $21.05 – $23.40 per hour Approx. $43,424 – $48,672 annually (based on 40 hours/week)
