Retail Store Operator - Eastgate, Stoney Creek
About the role
We wish to sign an agreement with a Seasonal Store Operator to operate our Calendar Club of Canada store in Eastgate Mall, Stoney Creek.
The ideal candidate will have experience in retail business management, operating retail stores, marketing, sales and using Microsoft Office.

WE PROVIDE TO EACH STORE OPERATOR We lease the store and pay the rent We provide you with access to our proven operating systems, processes, training resources, daily reports, regular meetings and ongoing support Store fixtures, signage, inventory, and store computer with POS software You earn commission as you sell the inventory we provide We pay for the inventory and freight to get it to the mall. You are responsible for getting it into the store, scanning it into the store inventory records electronically and on time, merchandising it according to our guidelines and keeping it safe. Your company is responsible for any missing inventory or unauthorized discounts. At the end you pack up all fixtures, store computer and unsold merchandise and ship it back to us. We pay the freight.
YOU MAY BECOME AN OPERATOR AND EXCEL IF WE CHOSE YOU AND YOU HAVE: Your own Canadian registered business name, business number, sales tax license number, commercial bank account, WSIB certificate, insurance, payroll number … or ability to get these in place before the deadline (October 1, 2026) Read, understand and signed our annual Seasonal Operator Agreement Business, management and/or leadership experience Knowledge of Human Resources is an asset Strong sales experience with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals Entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work autonomously Effective oral and written communication skills in English Exceptional organization and conversational customer service skills Passion to thrive and succeed in a retail environment Strong technical skills with the ability to adapt to new technology and tools such as Microsoft Office and POS software Diploma or Degree in Business Management is an asset

AS A STORE OPERATOR, YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT BY: Watching the short, fun videos and information we provide via our online website, during meetings, store visits, and phone conversations Hiring, training, and developing a team to help you set up the store, run it day to day and pack it up in January Ensuring the cash register is closed, balanced, and that bank deposits are made daily Ensuring all aspects of the store operation meets the specifications that support our brand. This is done through a variety of methods listed below:. Ensuring all store employees provide exemplary customer service and live our core values Setting up our store fixtures and products accurately and on time. Confirming promotional signage and marketing materials that are in storage are put up and taken down on time to prevent customers from missing out or being confused Partnering with our Resource Centre for support Contract length: Store open Nov 16 to Jan 3 with learning before and during, plus store set up before and pack up after these dates
PAY: BASED ON COMMISSION SCHEDULE: Work in the store yourself for "x" hours per week and have others hired, trained and scheduled to work in the store when you can’t.
