Director, Wireless Retail Sales & Operations
About the role
Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Wireless Retail Sales & Operations to lead a multi-location retail network across British Columbia.
This is a senior field leadership role responsible for driving sales performance, strengthening operational execution, developing retail leaders, and creating a high-performance culture across a growing network of wireless retail stores.
Reporting to executive leadership, you will lead District Managers, Store Managers, Assistant Managers, and frontline sales teams while ensuring excellence in sales execution, customer experience, compliance, operational consistency, and leadership development.
This is not a desk-based leadership role. The successful candidate will be highly visible in stores, coaching leaders, reviewing performance, identifying opportunities, and supporting teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and business results.
What You'll Do Lead retail sales and operations across multiple store locations throughout British Columbia. Drive performance across activations, upgrades, accessories, customer retention, and overall store profitability. Coach and develop District Managers, Store Managers, Assistant Managers, and retail sales teams. Improve sales execution, customer experience, merchandising, staffing, and operational consistency across the retail network. Review KPIs, sales trends, staffing metrics, customer satisfaction, compliance reporting, and operational performance. Strengthen recruiting, onboarding, coaching, succession planning, and leadership development. Ensure stores operate with high standards of compliance, ethical selling, customer communication, and operational excellence. Partner with HR, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Compliance, and Executive Leadership to support business growth. Lead store visits, performance reviews, coaching sessions, and operational improvement initiatives. Support product launches, promotional campaigns, and key retail initiatives.
What We're Looking For 5+ years of senior leadership experience in wireless retail, telecommunications, multi-unit retail, or another high-performance retail environment. Proven success leading multiple retail locations through District or Regional Managers. Strong background in retail operations, sales leadership, customer experience, and performance management. Experience coaching and developing retail leaders to achieve ambitious sales goals. Strong understanding of retail KPIs, workforce planning, compliance, and operational excellence. Experience leading recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, and leadership development initiatives. Excellent communication, coaching, analytical, and decision-making skills. Comfortable spending significant time in stores supporting teams and driving execution. Wireless, telecommunications, or consumer technology retail experience is strongly preferred.
