Position Overview As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for developing client relationships, providing expert product recommendations, and managing the sales process from initial consultation through project completion. You will play an important role in generating sales, maximizing opportunities, and contributing to the continued success of our Edmonton showroom. The ideal candidate is confident in building relationships, identifying customer needs, and converting opportunities into successful sales while providing an exceptional level of service. Key Responsibilities Deliver a professional and welcoming showroom experience for every customer. Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, builders, designers, contractors, and industry partners. Identify customer needs and recommend flooring solutions that best suit their project, budget, and lifestyle. Generate sales through showroom traffic, repeat business, referrals, and proactive relationship development. Prepare quotations, follow up on leads, and confidently close sales opportunities. Consistently meet or exceed individual sales targets and performance expectations. Manage projects from product selection through final order, ensuring a seamless customer experience. Maintain current knowledge of flooring products, design trends, and installation methods. Work collaboratively with internal teams, suppliers, and installers to ensure successful project delivery. Maintain an organized, professional, and inspiring showroom environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of our extensive range of hard and soft surface flooring products. Build and foster strong, long-term relationships with homeowners, builders, designers, contractors, and industry professionals. Prepare accurate quotations and estimates, coordinate product selections, and schedule appointments for consultations and installations. Deliver an exceptional customer experience by guiding clients through the sales process from initial consultation to project completion. Proactively generate sales opportunities through relationship building, follow-up, referrals, and lead conversion. Collaborate effectively with team members while demonstrating the initiative and accountability to work independently. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining excellent organization and time management. Continuously learn and adapt to new products, manufacturers, and industry trends. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: Experience in the flooring, interior design, home improvement, or construction industry is considered a strong asset. Availability to work Saturdays as part of a rotating schedule. A proven track record of success in retail sales and delivering exceptional customer service. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail. A passion for building meaningful, long-term client relationships. A proactive, self-motivated attitude with the confidence to pursue leads, develop new business opportunities, and generate sales independently.
