In this role, you'll be the face of our café operation, crafting exceptional beverages and creating memorable experiences for every customer who walks through our doors. You'll work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your passion for quality service and attention to detail truly make a difference. Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based beverages and other coffee drinks with precision and consistency Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and providing personalized recommendations Operate the point-of-sale system and mobile ordering platforms with accuracy and efficiency Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work station and café environment at all times Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak and off-peak hours Handle cash and cashless transactions with confidence and integrity Participate in catering operations and special events as needed, expanding your experience and skill set Demonstrate commitment to workplace safety protocols and best practices Support inventory management and communicate product needs to management Continuously seek opportunities to enhance customer experience and contribute to team success Qualifications Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for customer service Strong teamwork ability with a collaborative and supportive attitude Experience operating an espresso machine or demonstrated willingness to learn barista techniques Proficiency with cash registers, point-of-sale systems, and mobile ordering platforms Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced environment Ability to multitask effectively and manage time efficiently during busy periods Attention to detail in beverage preparation and presentation Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling, including availability for shift work Commitment to maintaining a healthy, safe, and inclusive workplace environment Food handling knowledge or certification (preferred) Previous barista or food preparation experience (preferred) Positive attitude, resilience, and enthusiasm for continuous improvement Additional Information Sodexo is proud to announce these nominations: 2021 Canada’s Best Diversity Employer; 2021 Canada’s Greenest Employers; 2020 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index featured company; 2020 Parity Certification - Platinum level and Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) Program company – Gold Level.
