Assistant Store Manager New Liskeard, ON
If you’re someone who leads by example, takes ownership of the day-to-day, and enjoys developing people, this role puts you right in the middle of the action. As Assistant Store Manager, you’ll support store operations, lead the team on the floor, and help drive performance—safety, service, and results. You’ll work closely with the Store Manager to keep things running smoothly, while building a strong, motivated team. Responsibilities Support daily store operations, ensuring safety, service quality, and efficiency Lead and coach team members, including training, scheduling, and performance support Set expectations on the floor and reinforce safe, consistent work practices Assist with hiring, onboarding, and developing team members Manage inventory, cash handling, and basic financial reporting Support execution of store plans, targets, and operational priorities Step in at the front counter as needed to support customer service Handle issues on the go, using sound judgment and a practical approach Requirements 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience (retail or service environment preferred) Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, support, and hold people accountable Comfortable balancing hands-on work with team leadership Good communication skills and ability to build relationships with both team and customers Organized and able to manage competing priorities Valid driver’s license Able to lift 30–50 lbs as part of regular duties Committed to maintaining a safe work environment What We Offer Salary: $58,489 – $61,585 per year, based on experience Annual profit-sharing opportunity Health, dental, and vision benefits RRSP and DPSP matching program Employee discounts on tires and services Ongoing training and development, including internal mobility and certification programs A stable environment with clear expectations and room to grow Hiring Process Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview and may be invited for a guided tour of the store and service area.
