Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, customer-focused Optical Sales Associate to join our team at HC Eyecare located in Tsawwassen Mills Mall. In this role, you will assist customers in selecting eyewear that meets their vision needs, personal style, and budget. You will play a key role in delivering an exceptional in-store experience while supporting overall sales goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide personalized assistance throughout their shopping experience
• Help customers choose eyeglass frames, lenses, and accessories based on prescription, lifestyle, and preferences
• Explain product features, pricing, promotions, and insurance coverage (if applicable)
• Perform basic adjustments and fittings for eyewear to ensure comfort and proper fit
• Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of displays and store environment
• Assist with inventory management, including restocking and tracking merchandise
• Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and returns professionally
• Collaborate with opticians and optometrists to ensure seamless customer care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous retail or sales experience (optical experience is an asset but not required)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Basic math and computer skills
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of style/customer preference

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of eyewear brands, lens types, and coatings
• Experience working with vision insurance plans
• Sales-driven mindset with the ability to meet or exceed targets
