About the role
Role Overview We are seeking an enterprise-grade Program Manager to lead Teifi's most complex, multi-workstream Shopify Plus initiatives. This role is dedicated to large-scale, strategic accounts that require formal program governance, steering-committee-level stakeholder management, and cross-project coordination across multiple delivery pods.
The Program Manager owns the macro-level health of the client engagement from inception through completion. You will ensure strategic alignment across all workstreams, safeguard financial health across the entire account portfolio, and maintain an exceptional client experience at the executive level. In this role, you will provide leadership, direction, and accountability to the Project Managers executing within your program, ensuring cohesive delivery. You carry full accountability for the high-level client relationship, macro-financial performance, and overarching success of the program.
Key Responsibilities Program Setup & Strategy Define and own the overarching program management plan, establishing macro-scope, business objectives, governance models, and delivery structures at inception Lead program kickoff activities, driving alignment with executive client stakeholders, validating high-level scope, and establishing governance boundaries Build and maintain the program charter, mapping workstreams, critical paths, project interdependencies, and success criteria across the full initiative Establish stakeholder maps and communication plans, aligning key client contacts from operational working teams up to C-suite sponsors Architect resource requirements across the entire program, partnering with discipline leads and Project Managers to optimize pod composition and capacity Oversee program-level Discovery phases, ensuring outputs are comprehensive, aligned with business goals, and seamlessly translated into execution backlogs Program Governance & Client Partnership Establish, facilitate, and chair formal program governance structures, including client steering committees, executive status reviews, and cross-workstream leadership forums Serve as the primary relationship owner for the client's executive leadership team, building deep trust and maintaining strategic alignment under pressure Navigate complex, enterprise client environments, managing competing stakeholder priorities, organizational change, and corporate political dynamics Partner with sales and account leadership to identify opportunities for account growth, surfacing new business needs and helping scope subsequent engagements Own the formal change control process at the program level, evaluating the compounding impact of Change Requests (CRs) on the program’s macro budget, timeline, and resource pool Program Delivery & Risk Management Master-schedule the end-to-end program across all workstreams, managing critical path dependencies, and communicating timeline health to both client and internal executives Provide leadership and direction to Project Managers within the program, holding them accountable to their project commitments and ensuring unified delivery standards Monitor delivery velocity and health across all projects, proactively identifying and mitigating cross-workstream risks before they impact the critical path Champion the program-level RAID log, ensuring risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions are aggressively tracked, escalated, and resolved Facilitate macro-level alignment ceremonies, such as Scrum of Scrums and cross-pod syncs, to keep delivery leadership aligned Orchestrate the program-level go-live and cutover strategy, coordinating with PMs and technical leads to ensure organizational readiness for launch Serve as the ultimate internal escalation point for complex delivery blockers, client disputes, and cross-workstream conflicts Financial Management Own the financial performance and profitability of the entire program, tracking aggregate budgets, cumulative margins, and actuals across all associated SOWs Review, validate, and consolidate project-level financial reporting from PMs, ensuring early identification of budgetary risks or margin erosion Oversee milestone-based invoicing and collections across the program in alignment with MSA and SOW structures Direct resource forecasting and capacity planning at the macro level, ensuring optimal utilization across the program ecosystem Team, Process & Quality Lead through influence and mentorship across cross-functional delivery teams comprising PMs, Technical Leads, BAs, QA, and Architects Oversee aggregate delivery quality, ensuring cross-workstream outputs collectively meet Teifi’s standards and deliver the contracted business value Contribute to the continuous evolution of Teifi's delivery playbook, bringing program-level methodologies and enterprise execution strategies back to the broader delivery team Qualifications 8+ years of experience in program or senior project management, with a proven track record of leading large, complex, multi-workstream digital transformations Deep experience within a digital agency, system integrator, or consultancy environment—mastery of SOW-based delivery, billable utilization, and margin management is essential Proven ability to command a room of executive stakeholders, navigate enterprise politics, and deliver difficult messages while maintaining client trust Extensive experience establishing and running formal program governance, steering committees, and executive-level reporting cadences Strong financial acumen, with experience managing multi-million dollar program budgets, EAC (Estimate at Completion), and resource forecasting Experience directly managing, mentoring, or holding accountable Project Managers or workstream leads Background in e-commerce implementation (Shopify Plus is a significant asset) or large-scale enterprise systems integration (ERP, CRM, OMS, POS, PIM) Deep understanding of agile frameworks scaled for the enterprise (e.g., Scrum of Scrums, disciplined agile delivery) Exceptional communication, negotiation, and
