The Fixed Operations Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the installation centre, with a strong focus on workflow efficiency, quality control, team leadership, and customer experience. This role works closely with the Store Manager to ensure efficient operations, engaged team members, and consistent delivery of The Right Customer Experience.
This position is currently based at our Whitby, Ontario location and is expected to transition to our new Clarington, Ontario facility in early 2027. Successful candidates must be willing and able to work from the Clarington location upon transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily installation centre operations, scheduling, and workflow
- Ensure product is staged, in stock, and ready for scheduled installs
- Conduct and enforce pre and post install quality inspections
- Monitor installer productivity, efficiency, and revenue targets
- Address escalated customer concerns professionally and promptly
- Support sales efforts and achievement of monthly performance targets
- Maintain shop layout, cleanliness, and safety standards
- Ensure systems are accurately updated with customer, vehicle, and job details
- Identify and implement process and operational improvements
- Oversee shipping/receiving functions to ensure products are staged and ready for scheduled installs
- Assist front counter staff as required
- Lead, coach and support installers
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding and training
- Provide ongoing feedback and performance support
- Ensure company policies, procedures, and safety standards are followed
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience (automotive or retail preferred)
- Strong understanding of shop operations, workflow, and quality control
- Experience with inventory management and basic performance metrics
- Comfortable using POS systems and business software
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
