*Retail Sales Associate *
AutoShack at Rona+ Hamilton
Hourly Rate: $20-$22 + Monthly Commission
What You?ll Do
This role is approximately 65% customer-facing sales and 35% inventory and operations.
Sales & Customer Engagement (70%)
- Assist customers at the counter and by phone
- Ask the right questions to understand customer needs
- Use Make/Model/Year and VIN tools to identify correct parts
- Recommend compatible parts, accessories, and extended warranties
- Process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally
Inventory & Operations (30%)
- Receive and put away stock orders accurately and on time
- Maintain organized shelves and back stock
- Count and verify inventory as required
- Process returns to the AutoShack distribution centre
- Keep the store clean, organized, and ready for customers
Requirements
- Retail or customer service experience
- Comfortable speaking with customers and recommending solutions
- Reliable attendance and professional presentation
- Willingness to learn systems, products, and sales standards
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Weekend availability required
Role Overview
AutoShack is hiring Retail Sales Associates who take pride in delivering consistent customer service and disciplined store execution.
This is not an order-taking position. Associates are expected to understand products, ask the right questions, and contribute to overall store performance.
Compensation
This position includes an hourly wage plus monthly commission.
Commission is based on:
- Average Order Value
- Extended Warranty Sales
- Return Rate (negative impact if above target)

Responsibilities include standing, walking, bending, and handling product. Team members regularly lift and move items up to 40 lbs, often in multiple boxes, while stocking shelves, unloading inventory, and assisting customers. Candidates should be comfortable performing these tasks safely in a fast-paced retail and warehouse environment.
