Compensation The base salary for this role ranges between $123,280 - $169,510, with eligibility for an incentive target of 20% which is contingent upon achieving both individual and company performance objectives. The pay range above is not a guarantee of compensation but reflects the potential total compensation for this role at the time of this posting based on the assigned job grade. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as geographic work location, relevant experience and individual skills. The stated range is a reasonable estimate and may change over time; final compensation may fall above or below the range provided. Position Details Lead the Merchandising & Supplier Management Reporting & Operations team in executing product assortment strategies, managing product data, pricing, costs, and supplier performance to deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will drive the development of analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions that improve operational efficiency, enhance decision-making, and scale business impact. You will lead a team (up to 10) of both merchandising/supplier management specialists and reporting analysts. This position is located hybrid 3 days per week in our Thornhill, ON office. You Will
Lead Merchandising & Supplier Management Operations
Lead merchandising and supplier management operational processes that support product, inventory management, eCommerce, marketing, sales, and customer experience while aligning activities to assortment strategy. Partner with Finance, Supplier Performance Management, Pricing, Compliance, Product Information, Taxonomy, and Inventory Management teams to optimize product setup, maintenance, and operational processes.
Drive Analytics, Reporting & Business Insights
Develop and deploy analytics solutions, reporting tools, and applications that support cross-functional initiatives, operational insights, and strategic decision-making. Measure business performance, identify trends, root causes, and opportunities, and translate findings into actionable recommendations that improve results. Enable self-service analytics across the business through training, coaching, knowledge sharing, and user support.
Advance Data Strategy & Continuous Improvement
Oversee the migration, governance, and ongoing maintenance of key datasets and analytics tools within the Grainger Data Architecture (GDA), ensuring data integrity, usability, and alignment to business priorities. Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to advance data architecture, improve processes, and enhance data literacy across the organization. Lead enterprise-level continuous improvement initiatives using analytics, Lean methodologies, and operational excellence practices to deliver measurable business value.
Lead People, Capability & Business Enablement
Translate customer and business needs into operational processes, system requirements, and sustainable solutions that improve business performance. Develop a high-performing team through coaching, performance management, training, and capability-building to achieve team objectives and support individual growth.
You Have
Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's Degree in Business, Product Management, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent. required 7+ years Minimum 3 years leading and developing large, matrixed teams in complex, data-driven environments required. required Experience in continuous improvement, project management, operations, or technology required. Experience using Tableau/PowerBI, SQL, and Smartsheets. Expertise in data governance, cloud data platforms, and enterprise data architecture. Experience with Agile methodologies, change management, and continuous improvement. Demonstrated success in leading analytics programs that influence business outcomes.
