About the role
Northern Security is an innovative, customer-oriented leader in locksmithing, key cutting and security systems. Northern Security continues to grow and expand and is looking for a conscientious and customer focused Customer Service Representative to join the team.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Open/close storefront
- Greet customers, answer technical questions and recommend products
- Answer customer calls
- Confirm customer address and contact info
- Complete service orders
- Generate invoices
- Mark invoices as paid in the system
- Inform customers of job completion
- Check/respond to emails
- Check/respond to voicemail
- Assist technicians as required
- Create work orders for shop work
- Calibrate and adjust shop key machines
- Cut and stamp keys
- Clean key machines
- Clean and service safe combinations
- Drill open safes as required
- Deliver safes as required
- Pick locks
- Program auto keys and remotes
- Rekey locks to new or existing keys
- Rekey new hardware to new or existing keys
- Remove broken keys
- Input change key and door assignments
- Install auto dialer
- Monitor inventory levels
- Participate in year end inventory
- Clean storefront/shop as required (load/empty dishwasher, empty trash/recycling, dust, organize, manage storefront clean up)
- Ensure customer confidentiality
- Stock shelves and hooks
- Running errands as required
- Providing excellent customer service
- Other duties as required
*Schedule: *Varying week-to-week schedule including weekdays and Saturdays; day shift only.
Requirements:
- Valid G2 Ontario Driver?s License is an asset
- Clean Criminal Record
- Flexible to work various shifts including days, evenings, and weekends, if needed.
- Available to work 40 hours per week, with the potential for overtime hours, if needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills
- Computer software skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good decision making skills
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Problem-solving and research skills
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Bilingualism an asset
