Posting Closing Date: July 23, 2026 Campus Location: London, ON Department: RSO1 Retail Operations Employment Group: Support Pay Details: $18.36 Hourly Worker Sub-Type: Casual (Fixed Term) Time Type: Part time Remote Type: In-Person Contract End Date: December 24, 2026 Hours of Work per Week: 0 Job Description: Note: This job posting is for multiple Temporary, Short-Term Casual Part-Time vacancies (up to 24 hours per week) beginning late August 2026 and running for 2 to 3 weeks (with possibility for extension). Shifts will occur during the extended store operating hours from Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., and weekends from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Availability to work on Labour Day weekend and the first two weeks of September is a requirement. These positions work in-person at 1001 Fanshawe College Boulevard, London, Ontario. Why This Role is Important Be the first friendly face students meet as they begin their college journey! You'll build valuable customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment during one of the most exciting times of the academic year. How You'll Make an Impact Under the direction of the Manager, Ancillary Operations, the incumbent provides front-line customer support services including sales counter and floor duties, and performs related tasks such as telephone reception, receiving, recording, handling and distribution of books and merchandise. What You'll Bring Completion of some post-secondary education is required Minimum one-year customer service and/or cash handling experience in a retail setting Experience with a Point-of-Sale system is an asset Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as a team Excellent verbal and written communication skills Fanshawe College uses Workday to manage recruitment and hiring processes.
