Nutritionist - Demo Program

We are looking for Nutritionists to assist with and join Healthy Planet in introducing our new Demo Program. The selected individual will promote the sales and operations of Healthy Planet while consulting with and addressing customers needs on an individual and group basis. In addition to processing sales and sharing their valuable knowledge, the selected candidate will ensure customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. This position is perfect for a team player who is passionate about living an active lifestyle and is looking to grow in the health and wellness industry!


Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and explain products, methods, or services

  • Schedule and manage demos for 3-4 locations

  • Identify interested and qualified customers in order to provide them with additional information

  • Keep areas neat while working, and return items to correct locations following demonstrations

  • Prepare and alter presentation contents to target specific audiences and ensure demonstrations go smoothly

  • Provide product information, using lectures, films, charts, and/or slide shows.

  • Provide product samples, coupons, informational brochures, and other incentives to consumers

  • Record and report demonstration-related information such as the number of questions asked by the audience and the number of coupons distributed.

  • Managem demo supplies

  • Research and investigate products to be presented to prepare for demonstrations

  • Sell products being promoted, and keep records of sales

  • Set up and arrange displays and demonstration areas to attract the attention of prospective customers

  • Stock shelves with products. Transport, assemble, and disassemble materials used in presentations.

  • Suggest specific product purchases to meet customers' needs.

  • Visit and work trade shows, stores, community organizations, and other venues to demonstrate products or services and answer consumer questions

  • Engage in meaningful conversations with customers and deliver exceptional customer service

  • Work well in a team environment and use available resources to ensure that the customer and store expectations are met

  • Provide customers with relevant information, products and guidance (within reason) regarding their natural health needs

  • Prepare, package, replenish and stock merchandise appropriately on displays

  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized working and shopping environment

  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of vitamins, supplements, and other health and beauty items in the department

  • Learn about competitors' products and consumers' interests and concerns in order to answer questions and provide more complete information.


Requirements

  • Registered Nutritionist

  • Must have knowledge of natural health, including vitamins, supplements, and nutrition

  • 1-2 years of Health Product Knowledge is an asset

  • Willing to travel to 2-3 locations within the vicinity

  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices

  • On going and up to date knowledge regarding nutrition trends and attaining optimal health

  • Knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English with customers, peers and management

  • Ability to multitask, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business

  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision

  • Be able to assist manager/ supervisor with any tasks that may be needed

  • Physical demands: This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing for at least two consecutive hours. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting and climbing ladders

  • Enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service

  • Flexible availability and able to work full time hours

  • Willing to do extra training and attend events in order to further develop knowledge
