Position Summary...

Support monitoring and continuous improvement efforts for the Anti-Corruption Compliance program in Canada and compliance with the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and Canadian anti-corruption laws by conducting periodic Walmart Compliance assessments (with a focus on financial controls), driving remediation efforts, and providing guidance to relevant stakeholders on the effective and sustained execution of compliance requirements across all facilities including the Store Support Centre. Contributes to an expanded testing & monitoring program focused on top compliance risks throughout the Company.

What you'll do...

Temporary Contract Position

1. Conducts and assists with planning Global Anti-Corruption compliance assessments, focused on the execution of financial controls (e.g. FCPA, CFPOA) and the Company’s Anti-Corruption Compliance Program

2. Assists with the preparation of reports on the results of compliance assessments and socializing opportunities to obtain support on compliance initiatives,
including presenting to various levels of Leadership.

3. Performs strategic layer 2 reviews of key Compliance risks throughout the Company as part of the aligned assurance model.

4. Tracks and drives timely execution of action plans by stakeholders and assists with the execution of action plans as warranted. Ensures remediation closure documents including deliverables are complete and appropriate.

5. Builds and maintains strategic partnerships with various business units to ensure the Anti-Corruption Compliance program is fully integrated into the business and ways of working.

6. Supports with analysis to determine the root cause of identified observations and recommends process improvements and/or mitigation strategies.

7. Ensures compliance with FCPA and Canadian anti-corruption laws and recordkeeping requirements by identifying possible financial control risks; supporting audits of financial records to ensure appropriate records are maintained; identifying gaps in recordkeeping; and partnering with key stakeholders to develop solutions.

8. Supports with ad hoc special projects (i.e. assessments to address opportunities in compliance programs, system enhancements to identify efficiencies) for both local and global partners to address emerging risks

9. Conducts monthly fines and penalties reconciliations and prepares monthly reporting. Supports the Anti-Corruption team with processing fines and penalties as needed.

10. Constantly scans the internal and external business environment to monitor trends and/or identify best practices, opportunities for innovation and process improvements.

Qualifications

One or more of the following designations preferred-

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
