Position Summary...

As a part of Walmart Connect, you’ll build industry defining omni-channel ad platforms at scale that enable Walmart suppliers to reach shoppers with relevant ads and high performing campaigns while helping shoppers discover products to enhance their shopping journey.

We are looking for a Manager, Product Management to build products that expand the customer touch points for the Walmart Connect advertiser and lead our sponsored search product. This role will be responsible for launching new partnerships and integrations that allow world’s largest brands to connect with Walmart customers at scale.

What you'll do...

  • Define vision and strategies for your product family, using domain expertise and knowledge of business operations to identify market opportunities, build business cases, and objective alignment.  For your product area, lead business alignment and communication including product roadmaps, align business and technical needs, analyze customer and product data, turn customer insights into actionable initiatives, determine rollout strategy, and manage risks.
  • Conduct industry and competitive analysis to understand the emerging trends in advertising industry to identify new opportunities. Conduct customer research to define customer segments and identify needs to inform product roadmap and drive advertising innovation.
  • Serve as a thought leader and trusted advisor to Business leadership and the larger product management team by leading the entire product lifecycle from requirement definitions, research, metrics analysis, technical specifications, development, testing, KPIs and other launch efforts. Working with engineering and data science to define targeting and measurement methodologies, data requirements, APIs and UX.
  • Partner with internal advertising sales and Walmart retail teams to create unique, compelling experiences that benefit shoppers and our advertising clients.

  • Build collaborative relationships with key partners across Walmart (Finance, Engineering, Sales, Business Development) by driving priorities aligned to business goals, communicating, and prioritizing product roadmaps, and lead buy-in from executive leadership.  Manage external relationships with strategic Ad platforms and industry organizations.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • Deep understanding of and experience in digital advertising
  • 3+ years experience in online advertising or search engines in a product management function, or 8+ years of relevant technical experience (i.e. Engineering, Data Science, or other)
  • 1-3 years supervisory/management experience
  • Sound business judgment as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize. 
  • Must be able and willing to think and act strategically and tactically. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, proven ability to influence others internally and externally.
