Support strategic portfolio management, project delivery and corporate governance approach.
o Partner with business leads to drive the most critical strategic projects to deliver on overall business goals.
o Support the development of key deliverables such as charters, OKRs, roadmaps, business cases, technology plans, interdependency models for each strategic project.
o Work collaboratively with project leads and senior executives to drive and support both corporate-led and business unit-led initiatives.
o Ensure a robust process to achieve desired outcomes from projects; identify & escalate issues as needed.
o Support creation of compelling content for executive board meetings and external audiences (including coaching & helping elevate the quality/rigor of project team outputs), to enhance strategic decision making and support recommendations.
Provide support / thought leadership to scoping and delivery of critical strategic projects.
o Develop a deep understanding of project risks & interdependencies, value realization against financial and resource investments, and the critical OKRs/outcomes of strategic projects, by generating insight across the strategic portfolio.
o Help business stakeholders to clearly articulate sources of growth opportunities & risks in financial building blocks of strategic plans.
o Be comfortable in a position of 'activist project support' (i.e. challenging leaders to ensure the business is driving towards the strategic intent & financial objectives defined).
o Work "within" critical strategic initiatives to help drive towards the intended OKR targets.
Maintain a deep understanding of the overall enterprise strategic aspiration and build a thought-leadership reputation.
o Support the design and adoption of new enterprise governance tools & platforms, strong program management methodologies, etc.
o Be a go-to resource for senior leaders on topics such as retail/digital transformation, new ways of working, Agile, product design, portfolio-mindset, etc.
o Support culture building and role modeling for the transformation office to cascade through the organization.
o From time-to-time, utilize market research and analytics-based insights to inform opportunities and risks for the organization, through internal and/or external sources.
