Senior Manager, Yield Operations Walmart Connect
Position Summary...
Senior Manager, Yield OperationsWe are looking to hire a Senior Manager, Yield Operations to join our growing team at Walmart Connect. The Senior Manager of Yield Management is responsible strategically managing ad pricing, inventory allocation, and demand forecasting. The successful candidate will give their inputs on the Annual Operating Plan and the Long-Range Planning (LRP) of the business. They will also participate in business reviews with stakeholders being the Walmart Connect Leadership and other Directors across all functions.
What you'll do...
Inventory Management & Optimization
• Manage and allocate ad inventory efficiently, ensuring that available ad space is used effectively while minimizing unsold inventory / impressions.
• Monitor and manage the availability of products or services to ensure optimal revenue generation.
Demand Forecasting
• Develop demand forecasts to guide inventory and pricing decisions, including demand trends and seasonality.
• Utilize historical data, audience insights and market trends to forecast demand and adjust pricing and inventory strategies accordingly.
Yield Optimization
• Develop and implement yield management strategies to maximize revenue and profit by analyzing, forecasting, and optimizing inventory or capacity.
• Continuously refine ad pricing strategies and adjust rates to optimize inventory and revenue, taking into account ad performance metrics and market conditions.
• Develop risk mitigation strategy for under-delivery of campaigns.
Pricing Strategy
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and adjust pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness and achieve revenue targets.
• Work with sales, operations, and product teams to align pricing and inventory strategies with broader business objectives.
• Own the enforcement of policies and processes related to makegoods, pricing, and discounts.
Performance Reporting
• Leverage campaign performance data to analyze and identify ways to maximize ad revenue and provide actionable recommendations to Sales teams to hit goals.
• Track and report on ad revenue performance, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), and providing regular updates to leadership.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape and inventory management strategies to identify opportunities for revenue growth and maintain a competitive edge.
Team Leadership
• Mentor and coach the yield analysts to create a high-performance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive media analytics experience in a digital advertising environment
- Excellent communicator, across multiple levels/functions with the ability to influence and drive action
- Ability to present complex topics to Walmart Connect leadership
- Strong written, presentation and verbal communication with the ability to express complex topics clearly and easily
- Proven track record of partnering with Sales, Sales Ops, and Ad Ops to achieve yield optimization results
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills, experience with financial analysis, forecasting and modeling
- Experience in developing monetization strategies, inventory optimization, and campaign management
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup like environment
