Position Summary...

The Total Loss analyst ensures the company optimizes its profitability through data mining, while supporting field teams, minimizing the company's exposure to unnecessary shrinkage, criminal matters or issues related to loss incurred by the business, ensuring the stores remain free from prosecution.

Analyzes various information focusing primarily on accounting/reporting issues found by the field teams, transactional data from POS systems and the eComm Dashboard.

What you'll do...

• Analyzes transactional data from POS systems to identify instances of potential malicious behavior (theft, fraud, etc.), procedural breakdowns and violations of Company policy and be able to communicate such to the appropriate Total Loss Manager.

• Writes, adjusts and refines algorithms and logic to monitor cashier and customer behavior. Develops and assigns cases for further onsite investigation. Maintains oversight of assigned investigations and provides support and guidance as required. Generates investigative productivity reports for senior leadership.

• Identifies, through data mining and analysis of the eComm Dashboard, instances of potential malicious behavior (theft, fraud, etc.), procedural breakdowns and violations of Company policy and be able to communicate such to the Senior Manager Logistics and eComm, Investigation team and/or Total Loss Manager

• Based on findings, identifies process gaps in Company processes/policies and conducts root cause analysis to prevent future breakdowns.

• Maintains adequate level of communication with and acts as a strategic partner Regional Corporate Investigator (RCI), Total Loss Manager (TLM) and Asset Protection Store Investigators (APSI) in the day-to-day management of investigations to mitigate loss and risk.
