The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Kitchen, preparing & serving food items, packaging & labeling products, delivering exceptional customer service, cashing out customers and assisting with minor productions


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure operational records such opening and closing procedures, fridge temperatures,
  • productions records, dishwasher logs are completed.
  • Ensure equipment is cleaned and kept on working conditions.
  • Ensure par stocks (food preparation, packaging, consumable) are kept at appropriate levels for service.
  • Ensure necessary inventory is ordered, and product is rotated accordingly to best before dates.
  • Oversee, train and execute preparation of recipes in accordance with company standards.
  • Provide food service to all guest, answering questions and accommodating special requests (if possible).
  • Motivate and keep kitchen team engage to provide high quality customer service.
  • Ensure all deliveries are received and put away accordingly and in a timely fashion.
  • Keep open communication with Store manager, informing them of any incidents that might
  • arise.
  • Set up prep list for day's production and inputting of production numbers in Kitchen File (Google drive)
  • Ensure all staff adhere to health & safety food regulations.
  • Ensure all food waste and food demo are recorded and remove from inventory.
  • Performed other duties as assigned.

Must-Haves:

  • Previous Kitchen Management & Team Management experience
  • Food Handler Certification is an asset
  • Experience with kitchen equipment (knives, ovens, stoves, etc.)
  • Knowledge of applicable rules and regulations regarding food preparation and/or nutrition; knowledge of and skill in the application of safety and sanitary requirements of a food service operation
  • Familiar with sanitation and health and safety food regulations including proper handling of equipment
  • Proficient budgeting skills and understanding
  • Work well under pressure independently
  • Proven leadership abilities
  • Strong communication skills - oral and written
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Flexible schedule
