Whole Foods Market is looking for a Regional Asset Protection and Safety Manager for Canada and London, UK!

As our Regional AP and Safety Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our mission, ensuring that our stores across Canada (14) and London (7) and in between maintain the highest standards of environmental, health, and safety (EHS), while safeguarding against losses.

You'll be working in stores 3 or more days a week traveling up to 50% and 2 times a year you will travel to London, UK store locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and support on environmental, health, and safety matters across stores, regions, and corporate initiatives.
  • Cultivate a culture of safety awareness and support among team members, leaders, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with store and regional leaders to address questions and ensure compliance with procedural guidelines.
  • Conduct compliance audits, investigate issues, and partner with Team Member Services for resolution.
  • Utilize data analysis to identify opportunities for business improvement.
  • Act as a liaison between regulatory agencies, law enforcement, contractors, and the company.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of processes and compliance measures across regions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce accidents and enhance safety and profitability.
  • Lead accident and injury investigations, providing evidence for legal proceedings when necessary.
  • Compile and analyze accident reports and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide occupational safety training and information to team members and leaders.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of retail asset protection methodologies and practices.
  • Ability to analyze multiple streams of data and apply logical problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in asset and loss prevention technologies, including physical security systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of grocery retail operations and industry regulations.
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, able to teach and influence at all levels.
  • Effective collaboration and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical thinking to evaluate complex situations and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process enhancement and efficiency improvements.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and 4-6 years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Loss Prevention Certification required; Certified Forensic Interviewing preferred.
  • Must have an active passport and able to travel to London, UK.
