Green Fresh Supermarket is an Asian grocery store chain in Ontario. Now, we are hiring a full-time Supermarket Manager to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario. Your primary role will be planning, managing, and evaluating the operation of the business.

• 35 hours per week
• 52 weeks per year

Salary:

• $38.00 per hour
• $69,160 per year

Working Location:

• 29 Selkirk Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1L 6N1

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and supervise daily store operations in customer service, merchandising, marketing and sales, etc.;
• Recruit and manage staff, assign duties, and decide on their promotions;
• Plan and implement store marketing and promotion strategies and campaigns to increase store sales;
• Achieve sales targets and ensure store achieves profitability by controlling operating costs and expenses;
• Plan budgets and monitor revenues;
• Determine, locate, select and procure merchandise to be sold;
• Implement price, credit and return policies;
• Study market trends to determine consumer preference, potential sales volumes and competitors' activities;
• Resolve store emergencies and problems, such as customer complaints and supply shortage;
• Look for new trends and changes in the industry.

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of secondary school diploma is required;
• A college diploma or university degree in business, management or related subject is preferred;
• Minimum five years experience in business management experience is required;
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office;
• Strong communication skills and leadership skills;
• Good team player;
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and work under pressure;
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and multi-tasking;
• Hardworking and positive attitude;
• Language Requirement: English.
